The trail runs right past the venerable castle ruins towards Bracht, a typical little village with some 100 inhabitants. In the village of Maspelt, which is quite high up, some great views out over the valleys of the Our and the Ulf await the hiker. The next stop is Neidingen, where several lovingly renovated old Eifel farms can be seen, and also Wiesenbach with its unique St. Bartholomew's Chapel. Via the Ravel cycle path and the Prümerberg you reach your destination at St. Vith.

    Turn-by-turn directions

Today we start at the church of Reuland and take the path up to the castle. It is again the white-red hiking signs that we follow up to the castle and they will also accompany us to our destination in Sankt Vith. When we leave the castle courtyard, we go straight on until the next junction, turn right there and at the next corner we continue to turn right down into the valley.
