On the way to Manderfeld and then Schönberg, the dense green is interrupted by clearings here and there. The many remote valleys give you the feeling of being much further away from civilisation than you actually are. And again and again there are those pure streams, which wind their way through this fantastic landscape looking so unadulterated that you might even be forgiven for thinking you had just discovered this spot yourself.
Author’s recommendation
Possibilities to stop off for some refreshment in Losheimergraben, Manderfeld and Schönberg.

Turn-by-turn directions
LOSHEIMERGRABEN > We take the N632 in the direction of Büllingen until after about 100 meters at the end of the sidewalk we turn left again into the forest road we came across yesterday. We follow the hiking trail with the green rectangle downhill. At the next junction we turn right and follow the green rectangle. At the end of the path we come across another wide forest path. Here we go down to the left until we soon meet the white-red hiking signs of the GR56 again. We stay on the main path and now cross a bridge over the Warche. Shortly after we continue straight on, this time under the railway viaduct. Behind it the narrow road rises slightly until after about 150 meters we meet the country road at the top, which leads through Buchholz.
