A 15 km long, varied trail run through woods and meadows in the beautiful Warche valley between the villages of Bütgenbach, Weywertz and Nidrum.
The blue trail offers everything a runner's heart desires: varied terrain, spectacular views and sporting challenges. It starts at the market square in Bütgenbach. From there, the route leads along the path "Zum großen Feld" in the direction of Weywertz.
In Weywertz, you will be rewarded with some beautiful trails that will make your heart beat faster. A short section on the Ravel leads you to the Warcheroute. As you run along this narrow trail, you can enjoy wonderful views of the hilly landscape. The tour continues to the Himmelchen ski club and then along the Warche to the village of Nidrum.
Once you leave Nidrum behind you, you reach the picturesque Mausheck nature reserve and the nature trail of the same name. A steep climb takes you to the dam wall, where you will be rewarded with a marvellous view of Lake Bütgenbach. Finally, you run back to Bütgenbach, following the shore of the lake.
This tour offers a balanced mix of scenic beauty and athletic challenge and is ideal for runners looking for a varied route.
After the tour, you may like a refreshment at the Heinen bakery or on the terrace of the Bütgenbacher Hof.
If you still have energy left after the tour, you can use up your last reserves of energy in the outdoor gym on the Marktplatz.
