Three boundary stones in the forest mark the point at which the borders of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany converge. During the period from 1816 to 1919, in fact, this was a four-border point, as the northern part of the territory of Neutral-Moresnet also ran into these three state borders. A little further along is the highest elevation of the Netherlands at 322.5 metres. Two viewing towers afford a stunning panorama. This is also the starting point of the hiking trail network “Grenzrouten” (www.grenzrouten.eu) and a nature adventure trail with 12 discovery stations.
