Description
Discovery, astonishment and understanding – In the Stadtmuseum Eupen, history becomes adventure.
In the 18th century, a golden age was provoked by the manufacturing of fine cloths. The new permanent exhibition gives young and old visitors an impression of the way the cloth industry influenced the city and the day-to-day-life of the people. Vivid exhibits show how the people lived out their faith and how they cherished their traditions. Special exhibitions about different topics and local artists, small cultural events and many participatory projects complement the offer of the museum. The historical merchant’s house De Ru’s and the modern museum block provide the perfect atmosphere for these events.
