Description
IKOB - Museum of Contemporary Art is an established, internationally oriented exhibition platform and promoter of the regional art scene. The museum functions as a platform of exchange with visitors, inviting them to engage with politically relevant issues through thematic and multi-media exhibitions and events. The programme focuses on four major temporary exhibitions a year that highlight new trends in contemporary art and society. IKOB's growing collection is also exhibited on occasion. Past exhibitions at IKOB have included solo exhibitions by internationally renowned artists such as Günther Förg, Jacques Charlier, Lili Dujourie, Jan Fabre, André Butzer, Aline Bouvy and Isa Melsheimer. In 2023, IKOB will celebrate its 30th anniversary and has become a permanent fixture in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.
